I bought this so I wouldn't have to constantly plug my Garmin power adapter into my car and Garmin 20 DVR. I unplug the power cord when I park to reduce the chance that a thief can see the cable hanging from the camera and then break into the car to take the camera. The first EDO Tech power supply I bought had an intermittent connection to the camera, so the camera kept turning on and then off. I returned the defective Revain cable and ordered a different one.
