UPDATE: lasted 3 months, soft spots in the plastic are easy to chew on

UPDATE - Where metal bars meet plastic there is obviously a soft spot. When my cat found this out, she chewed a dime-sized hole in one day. She can crawl through a hole the size of a quarter, so she might come out another day. The plastic is too thin and should be designed better. He's only 3 months old and now I have to figure out how to patch him up and honestly since they figured out he can be chewed up they might as well start a new hole. somewhere else. So now I think it's crap. First review: ==========- It's not big enough for a hamster. A hamster's habitat should be at least 450 square inches, which equals 280 square inches, which is about half the space needed. It can be used as a travel cage, a playpen, or connected to a second device to achieve the required 450 square inches. This is best used as a playground and more suitable cage for digging and sleeping. - The water bottle is insanely small. - Assembling the impeller was tricky, but just follow the instructions and you're done. I've seen some people complain about this. The first few times the wheel didn't move at all, but we figured out how to connect the pieces properly. - I don't like cages with wire - they can chew on the wire and ruin their teeth. were higher so we could add a swing or ladder. The bottom tray isn't deep enough for burrowing - they really need about 4-6 inches of litter to burrow, which is less than 3 inches. The wheel is a cardboard insert which we didn't put in because it didn't fit perfectly and we were afraid it would burn. Aside from the cardboard insert, this one doesn't have a "Coney Island" theme. Thanks to the design of the wheel, if a hamster poops in it, it will fly up in the air and land on top of the cage. This is a great poop launcher. Otherwise we love the Ferris wheel and the hamster too.
