Review on Set Of 6 Metal Pottery Profile Ribs For Consistent Shape In Projects, Stainless Pottery Texture Tool For Unique Foot And Rim Texture On Vessels And Slabs by Pushkraj Barton

Would have been nice, but…

While there are enough ribs in this bundle to keep an amateur potter busy for a while, even more amateur potters than myself might not understand why their lines aren’t coming out perfectly on their pottery because of the handful of burrs I felt on the edges of some of the ribs. It is a bit hard to see, but I tried to circle in red where one burr is and in another photo so you get an idea of where it would be in the edge.I am still giving this 2 stars (and I might have even given it 4 stars) were it not for the designs being copied from a well known pottery tool supplier and the burrs because otherwise this is solid and pretty thick steel with a nice thumb hole in each piece making holding it against your piece much easier. Also, I thought for the price point you can sand down the sides with metal sandpaper or a Diamond disc if you have one to make them more uniform on their edges—a practice you’ll eventually need to know for when perfectly manufactured ribs start getting a little rough around their edges (pun intended). Nevertheless, one shouldn’t need to fix a brand new product before using it even once.
