Of all the grocery stores under $200 this one was the best. It doesn't work like the Paderno I used in one of my works. BTW it was a full size Paderno, not the one they offer that looks like it. This is on the plus side, slightly smaller which is better for my house. the design is pleasant. The sidewall is thin. You can see the imprint left by the rivets in the metal. that's true of everything I've seen. It doesn't seem to want to flex, and again, its light weight helps for home use. Again, this isn't as good as a performer. They all require lots of spins and a bit of manual assistance to get things moving, but this one requires more work. I mean, there are methods for every food and every tool, and I still feel it, but Paderno was the first I've ever used and it pounded better than anything I've seen or seen. I'm not one to sacrifice functionality for the convenience of saving space. So knowing that I know if I need to replace an item, I choose Paderno. However, it serves its purpose and, judging by the construction, probably for some time.
