I was very happy with this tablet. Stainless steel and American made. I was a little shocked when it arrived because it's a lot bigger than expected, but figured I'd work with it and put it aside until I had time to switch from the old box. and the kittens immediately jumped in. They think it's some kind of playground. It's good that they like it. Good start. Then I get the edge protectors and put them in the basket. Not recyclable. Strike 1. Then I take the bag it came in and notice that the label says 'Made in China'. Stroke 2. After some thought, I found that it's not as hard as I expected. I take the magnet and indeed it is aluminum. This explains why so many people report discoloration. Strike 3. Will this now serve its purpose of reducing plastic waste? Yes. That was my goal. But I paid for American stainless steel, not Chinese aluminum. This product is overpriced and the advertising is misleading.
