When I bought a new car I wanted to get rid of the dealer frames as soon as possible. I was planning to buy some basic universal frames, but when I saw these silicone frame pads I was intrigued - mainly to prevent possible damage to my paintwork from a stiffer frame that could scratch the case from vibration/shock. I'm satisfied for $14! Build Quality: Right out of the box, my first impression was that the bezel silicone was a little flimsy, but they stood the test of time (see below). The cutouts are precise and match my panels perfectly and the mounting holes line up perfectly with the holes drilled for my previous frames. The fact that I haven't had any issues with the frames despite several months of use speaks volumes to their durability and build quality I think. No complaints! 5/5 FUNCTIONALITY/EASE OF USE: Installation was easy as they matched my frames and previous mounting points perfectly. All in all, replacing both frames on my machine took less than 10 minutes. I like that the bezel around the plates is relatively thin and they stand up to everyday driving without any noticeable damage. Unlike other reviewers, I had no trouble surviving after numerous trips to the car wash. I wash my car every few weeks and the panels don't slide out of the frame and the frame is otherwise intact. I haven't done a thorough inspection but there are no obvious signs of damage at the moment. Between the durability of the frames and the ease of installation, I have no complaints. 5/5 GENERAL: They worked surprisingly well and I'm very happy with them! Whether they actually reduce base coat damage remains to be seen, and my car has pretty good soundproofing, so I wasn't too concerned about frame vibrating noise, and I think both would be major causes. You can opt for this frame. For 14€ I am very satisfied and would buy it again if needed for another car. Highly recommended!
