Better than an instant thermometer! The instant-read thermometer will only tell you the current temperature, so if you've overcooked the meat it will let you know, but it's too late. I like this thermometer because I can control the temperature while cooking and the meat doesn't overcook. Very easy to use, fast charging. And the fact that there are two sensors in the kit was a nice bonus. The only thing I didn't like is a feature that I feel is missing from the app. I want to be able to adjust the temperature I want and then get a notification. I have yet to figure out how to do this and if it's even possible. But otherwise I'm very happy with the device, it's easy to use, accurate and has a good range.
