Review on Stay Visible on the Road with CAT EYE Rapid X3 USB Rechargeable LED Bike Safety Light by Noah Trigg

I bought the Rapid X headlights (white and red) about three years ago. I was mostly happy with the performance as both are very noticeable when flashing. However, I always felt that they could be brighter. I ended up turning off both lights. My old Cateye headlight was brighter day and night (flashed in daylight). In addition, my MARS 3 rear light was more visible from a distance, especially in daylight. When I saw that Cateye had upgraded the light, I was itching to get my hands on her. Kate did not disappoint me. I only bought the red tail light but wow I was impressed. Impressed and temporarily blind. Holy shit, that thing is bright! Now it's light enough to replace my MARS 3 for day trips. It looks like two Rapid X fixtures have been clipped together, only much brighter. Each of the two LED strips has an independent power switch. Each band can be on one of the six settings or both can be synced together. You can even turn on just one band while the other is off. It might actually be better at night as both LED strips can be TOO glaring from behind. If you want to be seen day or night, buy this lantern.
