I liked the versatility of the camera to use on my laptop. I really liked the small tripod that came with the kit so you can use it alone as well. It's lightweight but feels like a quality product. The camera lens cap was also a small touch that I appreciated. The video was much clearer and you could see my current camera had pixel lag while the webcam was able to keep up with my movements in real time. I filmed my mom and let her see the difference and found that I was clearer and the webcam lighting was much better.
