First off, this cable is incredibly inexpensive. Sounds great and is easy to control. It looks like it will last a long time. However, I'm still giving it back in favor of the $150 AudioQuest Black Lab cable. I had a 25 foot version of the Black Lab cable I bought from Best Buy for $50 a few years ago. Unfortunately, my new apartment layout requires a longer cable. I bought it to see if I could do without the cheaper cable, but my audiophile ears could tell the difference (which was reinforced by Shiba's direct comparison). Sun is good for you.) While the Revain Basics cable is certainly worth the money, being under $20 and virtually indistinguishable to the untrained ear (and probably most consumer video content) - it reproduces sound without distortion at all volume levels -, it doesn't capture as much sub-frequency depth. There are sub-frequencies I can feel in my chest with the Black Lab cable. The Revain cable doesn't quite fit in there.
