Review on ☕ Hamilton Beach Permanent Gold Tone Coffee Filter for 8 to 12-Cup Coffee Makers (Model 80675) by David Cook

Oooh! It works! best in coffee filter

UPDATE 08/22/2019: After many many uses. . . Minus one star because it doesn't catch all the coffee grounds so the coffee in the pot is a bit gritty. Another star deducted because the coffee brews unevenly from time to time. There are dry spots on the territory. My husband prefers paper filters because paper filters work great every time. I bought this for my home coffee maker: Hamilton Beach 2-Way Brewer Model #49980Z. I really like this HB Gold Tone filter for my coffee maker. Thanks to the moveable handle, the ground coffee can be easily removed from the coffee grinder. Note: Make sure the handle is down before closing the coffee maker lid. I'm glad I no longer have to worry about the paper filter falling off on its own, which means less coffee grounds are left at the bottom of the coffee pot. I only made a partial pot and the set stays in the basket. I don't know if the filter can handle a full carafe of 12 strong cups of coffee as we don't drink that much coffee here. The diameter of the filter top is about 11cm, the diameter of the filter bottom is about 8.3cm, the height of the filter is about 6cm, the bottom of the filter comes in about 0.8cm in the middle. This filter fits easily in my coffee basket (moving the filter sideways leaves a gap of 2-3mm) but doesn't wobble when brewing. The black part of the filter is made of plastic. The copper part of the filter looks like a metal mesh. To care for them, I hand wash them lightly with Dawn, rinse them and then air dry them in a dish dryer. I'm not a coffee connoisseur so I have no idea how this affects the flavor of my coffee. My coffee still tastes like coffee. Overall I am very happy with this filter.
