Fluorescent colors enhance daytime visibility and reflective material enhances nighttime visibility. It is made of durable elastic material and the velcro is well stitched. I love the versatility of being able to link two or more straps together to wear as a belt or loincloth. The only downside is that each is too large to wrap securely around an average wrist or ankle. I plan to either double wrap or sew on an extra Velcro strap to accommodate my smaller wrist. For the amount you get for the price, this is great value.
