We had one exactly like this for two years - not a bad track record for a small inexpensive gadget that was used daily and for long hours - the charged lasted all night. The battery started dying and not holding the charge all night towards the end of life. The baby was so used to it and its sounds, we opted to get another one. With the new one, it worked (fully charged daily, like we did with the previous one) for a couple of hours. The battery is DOA. Cannot return unfortunately, did not keep the package. PROs: cute and "chewable" design, minimal easy controls, pleasant noises. CONs: battery - faulty obviously. Will need to buy another one, fingers crossed this time more lucky :/
