In the preface to this review I would like to say that this is probably the 15th iPhone screen that I have replaced. I'm not a pro but I have 4 of them who are very rude with their phones. The tools provided are not of the best quality, but sufficient for the task. I heated my son's phone on a heating pad for about 5 minutes to loosen the adhesive that makes the phone waterproof. After heating, I was able to open the case easily, make sure you open it to the right. The included tools appeared to be magnetic tips which was great, the ribbon cable cover screws are almost microscopic and I had a hard time seeing them. With the cover off, things went quickly, front speakers and touch cluster were carefully removed from the old screen and installed on the new one. The included waterproofing glue was probably the hardest part of the repair for me, but that's a good thing, it means the glue is of good quality and should make a watertight seal. Finally, connect the ribbon cables in the reverse order of removal, turn on the screen and test functionality before closing the phone again. If you don't do this and have to open it again, you'll break the watertight seal. . The whole process takes about 30 minutes. There are plenty of good videos on YouTube if you need a visual guide so the screen is great. I will update my review if anything changes.
