This is an excellent device for what it was made for. Received yesterday and found it to be more, much more than I expected. Build quality is what you would expect from the Surface line. Battery life could be better, but until the battery industry provides improved battery size, weight, and performance, we're going to have to contend with a screen of this size and quality with an Intel chip. Most reviewers criticize this, thinking it should do what the surface pros do as weird and disrespectful of their responsibilities as professional technicians. My advice is to try it yourself. Don't listen to skeptics. It's an excellent mobile device that can do things on the go that you couldn't do with a device of this size. Will there be improvements, yes. But we didn't let the Surface Pro out the door before we had to deal with the Surface Pro, 2, 3, and 4. Just saying :) Just a few things in another test. 1. Upgrading to Windows Home from S mode was very easy. I don't know what the other review said and it's free.2. You will have updates. This product was built and packaged long before it could be upgraded to the latest firmware and other necessary improvements. Always update it to the latest software and firmware improvements before using it. It did not last long.
