I used to use a full 5 stage reverse osmosis filter but I can't install it in my apartment so it looked ok. Unfortunately, this does not lower the PPM, which is around 180 for both my faucet and this filter. This makes the water noticeably smoother and takes away the bitter taste of chlorine. After a few days I started getting used to the water and now I really like it but don't expect fully purified reverse osmosis water. Also, the faucet doesn't have a flow restrictor, which is a problem because my water pressure is too high. I can't turn the faucet on full because it will squirt out and probably damage the filter. This is the best solution I can find for an apartment. Much better than using jugs or small filters that have to be changed every month. These filters can be purchased for around $5 and last 6-12 months.
