I actually bought this product to use as a bartender at work. The Norpro lemon/lime slicer is about $9, which is what I paid for it. After 2.5 months of use, it started to fade. However, I've used it to cut over 50 limes and 20 lemons a day and I've been using it 3 to 4 shifts a week. Given that this is a homemade and not a commercial product, it's pretty darn good for the $9 I paid that lasts 2.5 months before it starts to really dull on the blades. I think if you keep it clean and snip a lemon or lime here and there at home, this product could easily last 3 years or more! I'm only taking off 1 star because sometimes the limes don't cut all the way through and you have to pull out a portion of the lime. Works best on lemons. But that could also be because I cut LOTS of limes and lemons with it, not just 1 or 2 here and there like someone would do at home. I recommend it!
