Review on Wagner Spraytech 0503008 Heat Gun by Ryan Person

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They just don't last long

I have rated this product 4 to 5 stars in the past. However, I cannot recommend this product more. We have bought several over the years. At first we bought more than one as add-ons to speed up our work. More hands usually means faster work. More recently, however, additional purchases have been replaced because the existing ones have died. Products are simply not stocked. The first pair lasted 14 to 16 months. Then there was a design change, and more and more new models didn't even last 6 months. We went through 3 old versions and 3 new versions and none of them were the latest. The failures we've seen range from the switch failing to the device crashing. Usually the switch fails so you either have the low speed function but not the high speed/temp function, or vice versa. We had two devices that just stopped working, which could certainly be the Switch. Today the last one we bought turns on but sounds like it's a water rinse.

Pros
  • SAFETY AND CUSTOMER ORIENTATION: Wagner has been in this business for over 50 years and puts safety first, which is why our products are ETL listed. This means it's tested and approved by Intertek to UL and CSA safety standards, unlike some poorly made heat guns that can be a source of fire or electric shock. And if you have any questions, our US customer service team is here to help too!
Cons
  • Socket required
