It is preferable to shoot from a tripod, otherwise there will be a lot of shaking.
The camera shoots excellent HD 30 frames per second. Everything else is the usual Chinese marketing juggling. It makes sense to operate it only in this mode, and it makes no sense to put a photo above 4 MP. This is the real physical resolution of the matrix from Omni Vision (4689), if the manufacturer is not being cunning here, but it looks like the matrix is ​​the same, so, I repeat once again, the camera is very, very good in its format and do not fantasize at 60, 120 fps or 4K for this amount.

Pros

Simple, handy camera. High-quality materials, even the packaging is "rich" - made of solid cardboard, with a hologram. A fairly good matrix, respectively, the picture is also very decent. Convenient remote control, works and signals that "turned on" and "turned off". It works normally from the "network" if the USB connector is plugged into a power outlet through a third-party adapter (I tried an adapter from a GoPro).

Cons

The fact that there is no stabilization, bad firmware, no PAL support (you have to re-encode) and photos - interpolation, as well as the fact that the camera is unsuccessful as a DVR, I already knew before buying, maybe. studied it on the internet. Having tested personally, I found the following: 1. Categorically there is no recording at a speed of even 60 frames per second. And the fact that the "manufacturer" claims, like - buy a good memory card and happiness will smile at you - is a complete lie. The camera stupidly duplicates the previous frames and thus gains the promised and declared 60 FPS. There is no real slow-motion effect, respectively. So use 30 and everything will be OK. By the way, you will set 60, increase the bitrate in vain and overload the processor, which will make the picture a little worse. By the way, 120 FPS is also a "cunning marketing move by the manufacturer. 2. WiFi - open, no password, keep this in mind, although it works fine. 3. Although externally the accessories have similar dimensions with accessories from other cameras (GoPro, SJCam), mixing these gadgets is problematic . and it’s not easy to put it in and pull it out (especially) . although if you push it hard, you can . 4. It looks like the declared shooting angle of 170 degrees was also a little lied to. For the test, I made a rail (tripod), where I installed two cameras side by side (equally directed), the second GoPro camera. The latter has a much broader scope. It looks like the real viewing angle of Eken is somewhere in the range of 145 - 155 degrees. This is a rough estimate by comparing received frames. 5. 4K, like 2K in both cases, there is interpolation from the usual HD size. Filming is pointless. It will only get warm from recalculating a frame from 1920x1080 to a larger size in real time. Moreover, the interpolation is stupid, by duplicating neighboring pixels, which is why the comb comes out.
