Perfect for my crested geckos. They like to be on top and definitely prefer to eat from it than from a small cup on the floor of the enclosure. The magnet is strong enough to hold it firmly to the jar and holds up well under the gecko's weight. I suppose something like a bearded dragon or other medium to large sized lizard would be too much for him, but most large lizards can feed near the ground anyway.
