Supplied in a nice sturdy cardboard gift box. Inside it is wrapped in a piece of parchment paper, which makes the packaging very effective. I ordered camel color and the color swatch is almost exactly what is shown on the website. It is quiet and goes with many outfits and jackets. The fabric itself is very soft and doesn't sting at all like many people associate with wool. It's very light, but don't let that put you off. Because it's wool it's very warm, but since it's 12 inches wide you'll probably fold it in half and double its thickness. It keeps the wind out and keeps you warm. I look forward to colder winds. Days so I can wear it without getting too warm. I am very happy with this scarf.
