I was very happy to receive this watch as a gift 2 Christmases ago. I have a fairly sophisticated home office setup and this was the perfect piece to complete my desktop. I love the look and also how easy it is to see and read the time. That's why I didn't give a 5 star rating. About 6 months after receiving the watch, the numbers on the minute side started breaking off. In particular, the tab on the left that holds the number on the spindle looked like it had been cut off. I contacted the company, told them which numbers were broken and within 2 days they mailed me new plates (I have to say the customer service was phenomenal!). I replaced the broken ones, but after about a month or so a few more broke off. I contacted the seller again and they replaced them again. If it ended there I would still give 4 stars. Unfortunately, this process was repeated several times. It seems like every month a different license plate falls off and falls to the floor like a sheet. Again, the company did a great job of replacing it, but there is clearly a defect in the watch itself. Something in the spindle mechanism is causing the lug holding it in place to break off, and the seller hasn't yet offered to replace the watch. I've gotten to the point where I really don't want to go back and change the numbers anymore. Let's hope that this is a one-time defect and that there are no other similar problems.
