Difficult to install. On the other hand there was glue, not very strong. It then comes with a thumbtack-like corkscrew to really hold it in place. I've tried attaching it to the edges of my bed because my cats use it as a scratching post. The pens were difficult to insert and when I tried to take them out they damaged the bed more than the cats. I ended up not even using this product. Aside from the complicated installation, the product really helped. In the few weeks I've applied it, my cats have not scratched it. (I ended up buying a new bed, so I removed the product.) But since it was difficult to install and remove, I won't be using it anymore.
