I am using this bracket to hang a 55 inch LG flat panel TV that weighs about 85 lbs. The load capacity is well below the rated load of the bracket. What I really like about this mount is that it can be mounted with 3 bolts. That makes it so durable that you could probably put your sofa on it! The bracket is wide and easily fits most 42" and larger TVs. Another thing I liked about the Sanus is the large square holes in the mounting plate. Why? - because I have a 110V outlet and cable entry there! Ideal for creating a wall mounted TV without wires. The power cable and all other cables (HDMI, coax, etc.) can be routed directly through the bracket if required. It was very easy to position and install the mount. The instructions are good and it's actually very easy to just sit on the floor with it for a few minutes and figure it out. It's also easy to keep it at 4 feet when installing! I'm very glad I bought this mount for my home theater!
