Review on πŸ”ͺ The 10-inch OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Peeler Set in Green, Orange, and Red by Jennifer Middleton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I give a big yes.

take the reviews seriously they are sharp. Each came with a plastic blade guard in the box, Julienne's Y tool was the only one that had permanent guard. But I keep these three in their own ziploc to protect the more fragile other two blade guards and also as a reminder. Otherwise I've used a regular potato and carrot peeler a few times and it's excellent. I've used a serrated one meant for fruit and things with soft skin to cut the "just yellowing" on a lemon's skin quite successfully, and tried it on a tomato's skin and it worked there too is working. I tried the Julien tool just to see if it worked and how it worked on carrots and cucumbers and it definitely felt like there was a technique involved that I hadn't mastered before rather than the tool itself didn't work properly. I'm pretty picky when it comes to kitchen tools and have actually been attracted to OXO over the years and if I were to order a set like this again as a gift I would definitely click 'buy again' on the order history page. Since the mention of a name in a review is often a red flag for paid reviews, I have no affiliation with OXO or anyone else, at least not for me. A rather choosy cook who really appreciates good tools.
