For the avoidance of doubt, this is only an overview of the PRODUCT. The seller delivered exactly the product ordered and did it on time. I have no complaints about this seller. Why such a bad product rating? I recently bought an iPad Pro (2nd generation). This new iPad only has the new USB-C port My computer only has the old USB-A port I bought this adapter to sync my new iPad with iTunes on my computer. Problem #1: The adapter comes with a USB-C connector that fits the new iPad and a USB-A connector that fits in. that's OK. So it seems like you'd have to buy an extra USB-A male-to-male cable to get this to work. Problem #2: Plugging in an optional USB-A male-to-male cable also doesn't work. I have not 1, but 4 tested and working USB-A male to male cables at home. I've tried them all. iTunes does not recognize the iPad. I tried connecting the USB-A cable to a USB-A charger to see if the iPad recognizes the charger. Nothing. Solution: I contacted Apple Technical Support. They told me I need to buy a USB-C to USB-A cable*. DO NOT buy this adapter to sync a new USB-C device to an old computer. Buy *cable* from USB C to USB A. If you buy this product, you are wasting your money.
