Review on Immerse in Pure Sound: AUSOUNDS AU-XT Hybrid ANC Bluetooth Headphones - Over-Ear, aptX HD, Deep Bass, 30-Hour Playtime by Joel Wright

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent noise cancellation: comfortable fit

The headphones come in a beautiful carrying case that includes an audio cable, a USB-C cable and an airplane adapter. space during storage in the case. ANC can also be activated when the headphones are not switched on and are not paired with a device. While I think this is good to know so people don't accidentally forget to turn off ANC, I think it's a good option for situations where you might just need to block out the noise. There is a switch on the left ear cup for turning ANC on and off. There are 3 buttons on the right earpiece. Top to Bottom: Top increases volume on a single press and press and hold skips to the next track. Press center button once, end playback pause/answer call. 2 quick presses dials the last person called, press and hold for 3 seconds, then release: A short audio announcement is called and the assistant is activated. Say the request after the audio prompt. Press and hold for 5 seconds to turn off the headphones. A single press of the bottom button decreases the volume, a press and hold skips to the previous track. Active noise cancellation. ANC is very good. Bottom engine noise is greatly reduced, as are computer motors, fans, etc. Some vocal noise gets through, but overall it does a good job of blocking a wide range of frequencies. This is partially aided by a slight but unobtrusive hiss. it's almost like white noise, but even quieter. Calls sound great on my end and callers can hear me perfectly. Unfortunately, they could hear everything else just as well. B. TV sound, other people's conversations, etc. In passive mode, the sound in the headphones sounds as if it were being played underwater and through a toilet paper roll. The bass feels good, but the subwoofer is sloppy, the mids are all over the place and the highs are fuzzy. However, if you activate ANC, the sound improves drastically. The bass has an even better, more even texture, the mids are defined throughout the midrange, and the highs have much better definition. However, the high frequencies seem a bit shrill in places. As mentioned, the mids have improved a lot, but still sound a bit masked. When you buy these headphones, what do you get? You get comfortable headphones that fold well into the case, last a long time and charge quickly, can be used with an audio cable when the battery is low, have excellent noise-cancelling that can be activated even when the headphones aren't connected to the device and the sound is significantly better with ANC enabled.
