I have 2 broken laptops at home, I didn't even know such a product existed until a few weeks ago. I detached the hard drive from both laptops and connected this dock to my new PC. It has 2 slots where you can put any HDD/SSD, either 2.5" or 3.5". It's very simple: after you have connected the docking station to your computer, you can simply insert any hard drive whose contents you want to transfer to a new computer into the slot. You won't believe the treasures from the past that you've been missing out on all along. I am very thankful for this product. In my opinion, this thing is better than an external hard drive.
