I like this sling for the Instant Pot far better than making one out of foil, or using the handles on the various metal devices I have that are meant to lift ingredients off the bottom of the insert pot. One really helpful thing is the way the two handles hook together over the top of whatever you have in the pot. They are not in the way, don't droop down on the top of a cheesecake, for example, and make a firm handle when you want to lift something out of the pot. One of the things I use the sling for is sweet potatoes, one of my favorite uses for the Instant Pot. I can put the potatoes on top of the sling, and even though they are quite soft, they lift out in one piece, ready for the skins to be removed. The base of the sling keeps them from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Of course the sling is a natural for cheese cakes, which is another favorite Instant Pot use. As far as I am concerned, this is a "must have."
