Arrived at my door with three holes in the box. I contacted Revain support immediately and they were professional on the matter and asked me to test the actual product and make sure it was working properly before taking any further steps. Sounds good to me: box is box, and as long as the computer runs well, I'm happy. As long as the computer works well, mind you! This is my second rodeo with Skytech so after checking connections and downloading updates I knew what to look out for. Same problem this time. If a device is checked for current BIOS versions, as listed by default on its checklist, you might think that actually means it has checked for current BIOS versions. So far they are 0/2. I spent a month with my first device trying to work with their CS team to update my phone and kept getting error messages. Working with the manufacturer of the component, they informed me that they needed to be replaced, but Skytech refused to extend the warranty if I received a spare part or replaced the entire system. I figured it must be an error in a million as I went through all the hoops their team threw at me and they seemed really confused. I returned the first system and ordered through Revain as I was very disappointed with how Skytech handled it. my first purchase. It doesn't go any better this time. The BIOS version is still out of date. As before, I'm encountering issues updating the BIOS version (working with the component manufacturer to try and fix this). I don't mind fixing bugs, but I don't think Skytech actually does any quality checks on their equipment other than matching the S/N to an order. For such an expensive purchase, I'm not thrilled that Skytech comes out of the box. If the product was functional and at least up to date at the time of purchase, that would be prudent. I don't get upset if an update is released while the system is in transit. But based on the timestamp on the quality checklist and the BIOS updates on the manufacturers' websites, I can deduce that it's either quality stamping or some other form of laziness. If I can fix it I will update. If I can't do that, I'll return it and stop promoting Skytech.
