I bought this speaker for use in a vintage car with a faulty stereo and I don't want to waste time and money fitting a modern radio. I have a Samsung phone so I can play audio from two Bluetooth speakers at the same time, so I paired it with Soundcore Motion+ - both are $100 each. The battery life is pretty good. At full volume you'll probably get a solid 4-5 hours. This one is certainly a lot louder than the Motion+, but doesn't feel as balanced or rich, if that makes sense. I've never been a fan of the booming bass that comes with many Bluetooth speakers because the bass effects usually just make the speaker sound very muddy and cheesy. Also, I don't listen to Top 40 or Dubstep or anything else that Youtube reviewers always hear. This one is pretty punchy, but it has a bit of boom/dirtiness. The equalizer functions are very limited, which is not ideal. If it were possible to actually tweak the EQ, like with the Soundcore speakers, this would be a real contender for the best Bluetooth speaker in the $100 price range. Overall it's definitely value for money and I still recommend it if you're looking for volume over sound quality.
