Measured with pH/tds meter

I got this for gardening as San Diego, CA has relatively harsh water. This morning I measured the tap water coming from my hose at 417 PPM at 8.4PH. Attaching this filter to the hose I got 404 PPM at 8.5PH. Disappointed to say the least but I guess there is no cheap substitute for RO water.While this filter may reduce chlorine and other basic contaminants I would not buy this with the goal of reducing PPM or bringing your PH down, it doesn't do anything of the sort.

These work great! You can already tell the difference in the water and my garden

May not provide noticeable results for certain plant species or with certain soil compositions
