2 stars for a 2 star product

2 stars for a 2 star product. I used this on a purple 2005 PT Cruiser. CONS: 1) As you can see the headrest covers do not fully cover the headrest. It looks terrible from the back of the headrest. I have a convertible so you can see it clearly with the top down. 2) The stitching on one of the headrests looks like it was sewn inside out. I use scissors to cut off the excess. 3) The stitching on the seat covers themselves are not the best. It looks like it will pull very hard and fall apart even though the seat cover was not very snug on my seat. 4) It had no installation instructions and also some crappy metal hooks. I tried using hooks but they literally did nothing; They didn't hold the straps tight at all. I tied straps to hold the cover in place. A guide would be helpful. I mean, it's not rocket science, but I can't figure out what metal hooks would even be useful for. 5) As you can see from the photos it is already starting to tear on one side of the seat cover (the black stretch material is what the tear is). I've been using these cases for exactly 7 days and this has already happened. PLUS: 1) The purple travel matched the dark purple color of my car perfectly 2) Not a terrible price for 2 leather cases. I checked with local auto repair shops and would drop $25-$35 for a handicapped seat cover. I think it could be about $10 cheaper for the quality of the product. If you want something temporary (in the sense that it won't last more than a year or two) then this is your product.

Pros
  • Seat covers
Cons
  • Not bad
