Fits perfectly in the back of my 2018 Acura RDX even with the center seat belt on. I use this to stop a 4 year old Siberian Husky from escaping the trunk and running across my back seats. It feels very secure and doesn't move at all. However, if you have an intelligent dog, he may try to chew through the straps holding him down to free his butt if he's determined to get in the back seat. Even with the bottom straps loosened, the top straps (if tightened enough) will keep the dog in check. The fit is perfect, there isn't a big enough gap on one side or on top to let a head or paw through. The screen-like material is scratch-resistant and the holes are small enough to prevent nails or fur from getting into the rest of the car. I have a harness that also goes around the headrest to tie the dog down. This barrier completely blocks the headrests so I had to attach a leash to the bars of this barrier instead to ensure my dog is safely protected by the leash or harness when the car is in motion. Very easy to assemble and very simple design. I assembled and installed it myself (and I'm 6 months pregnant).
