Not bad to start with, but after a while you might want to look elsewhere.

This was my first miniature brush set. I bought two of this set. My first set broke quickly because I didn't understand how to clean brushes properly, so I bought Master's Brush Cleaner and another set with a better understanding. More on that later. These brushes fit perfectly in the hand thanks to the triangular handle. The variety of brushes in this set gives people who want to dive into mini painting an idea of what brush sizes can be used in their painting projects. You get a flat brush suitable for drybrushing, a #2 brush that can hold a decent amount of paint, and any size below #2 is fine enough for fine detail. The real heavyweight for me was the #0 in this kit as the tip is thin enough for small details but the body is thick enough to hold enough color to cover large areas without having to go back to the palette. Sour tries to keep these brushes in tip-top shape for extended use. The tips of these brushes want to curl. Despite using Master's Brush Cleaner (get that product!), they refused to stay on top. Bristle splitting was a big problem even after the first few sessions despite proper brushing. Maybe I'm new to proper brush care, but I'm not sure and plan to try another brand soon. If you're interested in this set, I recommend saving the tube they come in for safekeeping, keeping the little protective brushes attached to each brush, and getting a can of Master's. Check them out and go from there. The price is reasonable for the variety of this sable brush set, but you'll probably want to move on as you delve deeper into the hobby.
