I'm sorry I've waited so long to try this system. My cats run after the trash like crazy and with that I just throw back the few that come out. Every month I just take her outside and hose down all the pellets and everything. Then leave it in the sun for a few hours. Pellets do not need to be changed. I use 2-3 bags at a time because mine like to dig. I use 1 pad a week for 2 cats but they pee in the sink so it doesn't fill up much it just starts to smell. If I could teach them how to poop in the toilet, I'd be willing. Don't be put off by the price, for me it's cheaper than a good filler. There are also litter boxes with large holes. They are great for collecting discarded pellets.
