Couldn't get it to pop

Great idea and the confetti is pretty but I was expecting it to pop out. Instead, you just push it up like ice cream, which makes the confetti barely fall from the top instead of popping and flying around. We ended up just throwing confetti around which was still pretty but not in the way it was intended.
