This device was fairly easy to come by with a standard schematic, an INA125P instrumentation amp, and a multimeter (or Arduino). However, if you're using an Arduino, you'll need a higher resolution ADC to get better than 0.1g accuracy. The packaging is a little cheap in the sense that the lead wires aren't connected as well as they should be could, this was a source of intermittent operation and noise until I figured it out. The holes have a metric M3 thread.
