Cute picture. You had to write a name or # on the card containing the thread so you don't have to figure out which color is which. It's a guessing game as packaged. But there was enough yarn. Some threads are poor quality and dull so you can see the difference in the finished product. Also because of the symbols. The "Border" seam line in the diagram covers some characters, so you also have to guess whether the character is, for example, "x" or "/". (attached image) Otherwise, it's easy to do. It only took me a month to finish. I wish the drawing was in color rather than black and white. Perhaps this helped to guess the symbol.
