I'm one of those women who probably has hundreds of shoes, but who's counting them? I love shoes and take good care of them. I've also spent 20 years of my professional life traveling about 75% of the time (honestly, what woman can live without at least 5 pairs of shoes?), and I spend most of my time in sneakers or hiking. in wet, muddy conditions. Although this review is entirely voluntary and I have not received any compensation for it, I am proud to say that you cannot find a better shoe bag reviewer than me! I've recently found that my shoe bags need replacing so I ordered a whole bunch of different types to try out. These shoe travel bags from YAMIU are definitely the best. They have a durable fabric loop that fits over the doorknob so you can load and unload your shoes without bending over - a huge plus for weary athletes or those with back problems. When empty, they weigh almost nothing and take up almost no space. The fabric is very strong and I have no doubt it's waterproof (although I haven't tested it) and the fabric is thin and flexible so enough detail can be felt through the fabric to tell which shoes are in each bag (which one comes in handy if you live on the suitcase). When the time comes, I throw the bags in the washing machine without hesitation. The fabric is just stiff enough to make it easy to load shoes and a bit slippery to keep shoes from sticking to the bag when packing and unpacking. I'm thinking of adding rows of hooks to the closet wall and hanging these shoe bags. I can leave the zip open so I can see exactly what shoes are in each bag and if not the zip is cleverly positioned so it's easy to unzip by pulling down when the bag is hanging. The slippery and impermeable fabric prevents dust from getting on the shoes, and if it were hung on the wall, it would be very easy to scrub the outside of the bags with a brush. It is obvious that YAMIU carefully designed these bags. for simplicity, functionality, durability and even pleasing aesthetics. These bags are the perfect meditation these days when so much drek is piling up on us.
