Recently my sewing machine almost broke. It's over 30 years old and has started doing so many shaky things that I was afraid to take it to my mechanic just knowing he would tell me it couldn't be fixed. I use low lint thread (Aurifil) but dust and dirt can still get deep into the sewing machine and I can now pull them out with these brushes. The key to a well-functioning sewing machine is cleaning between maintenance. If you use these brushes regularly, I have no doubt that I won't have to bother my mechanic as often.
