I have bought two of these lights. The first came with my 16 gallon bow front tank and lasted just over a year before the lights flickered and then went out. I bought a second one thinking the first one was just an accident or something. But the second one did the same thing, the light starts to flicker and goes out completely after a few days. In both cases I thought it was just a lightbulb so I go out and buy new lightbulbs for $20 each only to find out it's not a lightbulb it's an electrical short as it still doesn't work with the new lightbulbs . So I've made many mistakes with this lighting system, once buying the original lighting system, the second time buying new bulbs thinking they had just burned out e.g. the third time I bought a new lighting system, and the fourth time I bought new lighting systems. Again he was deceived into thinking that the lightbulb had burned out and bought a new lightbulb even though the problem was not in the lightbulb.
