Rugged Keyboard Ball Bearing Keyboard Rails: $35.99 at time of review When I ordered my standalone desk three years ago, all I needed was a keyboard tray. So I made it my mission to make my own. This required a large bamboo cutting board and a set of keyboard glides. In the end I decided to buy a larger tray which required new heavier rails. I chose these from Frmsaet. *What I liked*: These sliders (like my old ones) are height adjustable. That's good if you're short on space or need a deeper tray. They come with a full set of screws. This is fine for most people, but due to the shallow depth of the boards in my desk, I had to use shorter screws. *What I didn't like*: Unfortunately, they aren't that difficult. The previous foils I had were a bit thicker than metal and seemed more durable (unfortunately the latch holding the keyboard was worn out so I had to replace it). These sliders wobble back and forth a bit when I slide my tray in, resulting in a slight rattle that makes it difficult to slide it all the way in. * Bottom line: * The bottom line is I already installed them and it was a pain (not their fault). So I don't take them off until they break or wear out. But they aren't as good as my old set and I wouldn't exactly call them durable. Three stars out of five because technically they work, but not as well as they could. I wouldn't buy them again.
