I'm 6'1" and thought I'd look for discounted quality men's shirts (men's basics always seem to be better and cheaper). I ordered a medium length hoping I could tie it around my waist and I am very happy with the fit and quality. I don't have a large chest and I'm quite thin but I have fairly broad shoulders for a woman my size. It's still a little looser than I would expect for the average men's shirt, so I actually ordered another small one with a different one Pattern to customize was to fill. The long one is VERY long even for my height (covers my butt). So unless you have a long torso, you may not need the extra length.
