Review on Gates 31842 Fuel Tank Cap by Carlos Massey

I ordered this for my Fleetwood RV based on a 2010 Ford E450 chassis and it fits Perfect. The original leash doesn't fit, but that's not a problem. I've read in other reviews that people said it wasn't blocked and there really weren't any instructions. However, after playing with it, I found that you unlock it by turning the key to the left, and then you can remove the key and remove the cap. Then, after refueling, you can put the cap on and turn it until it clicks several times. After that, you need to reinsert the key and turn it to the right so that the key slot lines up with the handle. Once you do that, it won't open. So this is a very good cap and I think it's a great price. Much smaller than an OEM Ford part!
