It took me a while to get my husband's thick beard under control, but after a few runs it was nice and smooth. He gushed with the product even though his beard was dry. The product did not get wet on the beard, smoked and smoked. The hair in the comb was also smoky. But overall it's a good product. The soap doesn't have a strong smell, which he likes, but some guys don't. It also has a slight exfoliation. He's happy and that's what counts.
