A 5-volt charger is suitable for charging the battery. The bat turns off when you use the circuit to charge and discharge.

5V charger, ideal for changing batteries. When you need to connect a power supply, the charger disconnects the USB load for a split second, which restarts devices like the Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc. As such, this may not be ideal for portable SBCs such as the Raspberry Pi, where mobile use is preferred. I was able to get this to work in parallel, meaning the battery and two of these devices are set up in parallel, one of the boards connects to a mini-USB for charging, and the board connects to a full-size USB for power. With SBC, you can charge the battery and use it at the same time. It works, but it takes a long time to charge the battery.
