Suitable for appliqué, not for thread cutting
These small scissors are very heavy. They're comfortable to hold, but heavier than others, so you can slow down. The tips are not thin enough for some of the parts I bought them for. I was planning to use them to cut thread from my machine embroidery. The thickness of the tip doesn't make it easy. However, they are good for trimming small areas of fabric when making appliqués.
