Not everyone knows what a TRS and TRRS connector is and the product description does no more than provide a general reference. TRS is a 3-pin connector, TRRS is a 4-pin connector. The TRRS connector is usually reserved for products with built-in microphones. The vast majority of "mobile" communication devices use this type of connector. Compatibility or correct installation can be determined by the size of the rack and the profile of the head. The purpose of the gap is to ensure that the poles align properly with the pins in the socket opening. Some TRS connectors have a shorter support base, however this product has a full support base with a standard 3.5mm profile head, which has thin 3.5mm profile heads for devices where the socket connector is tight a deeper flush rather than sticking to it a more even surface. I've provided an example image of a 4-pin TRRS with a thin profile head versus a 3.5mm 3-pin UGreen TRS with a standard profile. Sound quality, durability and quality are appealing and look promising. Product description and information is missing, so I only give 3 stars.
