It's impossible to navigate in places where things are on the floor, so I usually put all things on the sofa in advance, like high chairs, music stands, walkers to give the robot more freedom of movement. My second floor is about 1,000 square feet, all carpet. It took about half an hour to work. This robot found the dirtiest areas and kept cleaning until they were clean. The roller isn't made out of high-performance anti-static fibers, but I wish it was just a brush like other brands of robots. It didn't effectively reduce frizz. This robot can easily move over thick carpets, but it got stuck on my sliding door track, which none of my previous robot vacuums could get past.
